So, this is me and my press.  Reb Peters Press is a one-woman show at this point.  I've been working as an intaglio printer, editioning artwork for artists since 2000.  In May of 2009, I acquired this beautiful old letterpress to expand my printing capabilities.  It's been wonderful to finally have my own letterpress to work with.  I studied printmaking at the San Francisco Art Institute, where I graduated in 2000.  I continued my education to include letterpress printing at San Francisco Community College and studied a lot on my own when I bought a platen press, since I only printed on a Vandercook in my letterpress classes.

Right before I bought my press I studied BriarPress.com which has a wonderful discussion forum for people with difficulties printing.  Reading the questions and answers on this forum was a great way for me to learn about how to  use my new press and solve the problems that were likely to come up.

My shop is in Oakland, in the old American Steel building that now houses artists of all sorts.   Whether you're in the San Francisco Bay area or elsewhere in the country, email me for more info about your printing ideas.

And if you're interested in seeing my artwork, please visit my other website:  www.rebpeters.com or my Etsy shop.

Thanks!

Rebecca Peters
